What are the determinants of quality backlinks in SEO?
I agree with some of the other answers here, but do make the distinction that traffic data can be manipulated. Just like most of the SEO metrics, such as Domain Authority, Page Authority, Trust Flow, Citation Flow, etc. However, whenever I’m assessing the quality of a backlink, I’m looking at the following: The amount of keywords the site is ranking for month-on-month and year-on-year. Is it growing or declining? What pages are getting traffic, and for what keywords? What backlinks does the site have itself? Once you have the answers to these main questions, you’ll then have a better indication as to whether you’ll want to secure a link on that site. Personally, if I was a business owner without SEO/Off-Page SEO knowledge, then I’d simply outsource this task.
